Addison Groove: Transistor Rhythm 2LP

Addison Groove: Transistor Rhythm 2LP

After changing the game with "Footcrab" back in 2010, Addison Groove returns with the much anticipated full length of forward bass/footwork fusions. Transistor Rhythm finds Addison Groove (aka Antony Williams) unlocking even more combinations of bass and rhythm to make the speakers pop and floor go off. The influence of Chicago Footwork and Ghetto Tek cannot be denied, but it is the way he skillfully deconstructs these styles and infuses them to the UK bass aesthetic that makes the tracks so potent (in turn influencing the whole bass scene including Pearson Sound and Sepalcure to name a few). Check the dutty dancefloor beats of "Bad Things" with Spank Rock adding that extra layer of grime, or "Beeps" that hits hard on some futuristic Banji boy ish. More heavy hitters include the rolling 808 and 606 on "Rudeboy" and "Night To Remember" for the footwork addicts, or the nasty bass slaps on "Ass Jazz" for the late night freaks. 8 tracks in all on heavy import vinyl.
