Green Mind was the major label debut (Sire) of Dinosaur Jr., in addition to their first without Lou Barlow (who founded Sebadoh shortly after.)  This record is effectively a J. Mascis solo album, as nearly all instruments were performed by him. "The Wagon" is one of the fiercest opening tracks of all time, pretty much setting the template for 90's Alternative Rock. Other highlights include the acoustic bliss of "Falling Cloud" and the chill flutes of "The Thumb". Includes bonus tracks culled from the import-only Whatever's Cool With Me EP in addition to B-sides and live recordings from the era. Deluxe gatefold packaging includes detailed liner notes based on contemporary interviews.
