Old L.A. 2040. The original soundtrack to Hideo Kojima's pre-Metal Gear Solid masterpiece, Policenauts, on vinyl for the first time courtesy of Data Discs! Originally released in Japan-only on the PC-98 in 1994 (then later on Playstation, Sega Saturn, and 3DO), Policenauts blends futuristic sci-fi with a hard boiled detective story and buddy cop antics (Lethal Weapon style) to become one of Kojima's most notable works. Despite never getting an official release outside Japan, the game has garnered a cult following, with the CD-only soundtrack, penned by the mighty Konami Kukeiha Club, becoming increasingly in-demand.
