Strictly Dub, one of Prince Jammy's most sought-after recordings, gets repressed on thick, high grade vinyl for all the dub lovers in the place! This album was produced, arranged and recorded by Jammy alongside legendary Kingston session musicians Sly Dunbar & Robbie Shakespeare, and surfaced very briefly in New York in the early eighties. It has since been a tough find in original press, and is widely regarded as an excellent early demonstration of Jammy's (who was King Tubby's right hand man) masterful production techniques and mixing style. Features updated versions of many classic rock steady and reggae rhythms as well as some roots masterpieces the heads might recognize. Solid and booming sound throughout all 10 tracks. Recommended.
